I love to celebrate holidays all month long. I do this through my home decor, my menu choices, and usually my style. This month I was really struggling to figure out how to add a little Halloween pizazz to my look without looking like a total cheeseball! I was flipping through the latest Simply Handmade, as I do quite often when looking for inspiration, and I saw the zipper flower by Malinda Andrew. Ding ding, lightbulb! I knew immediately I wanted to make this headband.

{new layouts}

use glossy accents to make scars pop out! and give depth to your spooky pages

make a banner from any pattern paper i used the crossword paper which made it easy to cut and make it even!

my mother does a spook alley at her house every halloween and thought this page would be perfect for that day. but since we don't have pictures of it yet i put white paper up to show where i will be putting photo's later!
ribbon pleated ruffle! so fun to do. i actually pinned the ribbon in folds, and then stitched it to my layout.

happy october! hope you enjoy these! there are more to come
